When the North Dakota Mill turned 100 in 2022, Ad Monkeys had the privilege of helping make it a celebration to remember! Our work began with strategic planning and the creation of a 100 Years wordmark. We then produced artwork and oversaw ordering for an assortment of promotional items. Among these were anniversary coffee mugs, a specially designed ceramic cookie jar, and a commemorative metal coin featuring etched surfaces and a detailed likeness of The Mill — all very cool, to say the least. But a milestone this big called for more than logos and swag. So we hit the road. 

That summer, the Ad Monkeys video production crew rolled across North Dakota capturing footage and conducting interviews with entrepreneurs and business owners who continue to partner with The Mill for a dependable supply of flour. Afterwards it was back to Grand Forks to direct an extensive photo, drone, and video shoot at what is now the largest single site flour mill in the United States. The magic of video editing then brought all these elements together in time for the big day.

October 20 of that year, our 100-year-history video played to a packed banquet venue overlooking downtown Grand Forks. There to celebrate was a veritable array of distinguished guests including City, State, and Federal dignitaries, East Coast restaurateurs, Midwest food industry execs, local ag producers, grain trucker drivers, and a beaming contingent from the North Dakota Mill. And rightfully so! The honor of the day was theirs. Playing a small but significant role was ours.
